Catherine (Kate) qualified as a hygienist in 2002 after completing the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Diploma in dental hygiene. Kate spent 22 years in the Royal Air Force. 9 years as a dental nurse, 1 year as a practice manager and 10 years as a hygienist following on from her 2 year training. During her time in the RAF, Kate has worked at many places across the UK including St Thomas’ hospital in London and the isle of Unst in the Shetland islands, as well as working outside the UK. Kate also has an interest in diet and health and completed a Diploma in Nutrition and Health (in the community) in 2005. Now Kate has become one of the pioneers of a treatment called Guided bio-film Therapy, providing advanced hygiene treatments and periodontal treatments, as well as maintenances packages for implants, braces and bridges and loves to show patients the science at work. Kate is a caring and listening hygienist within {my}dentist practices at Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth, and has been with the company since 2012. She strives to provide the best possible treatment and has a empathic ear for all her patients.
