Darren graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Newcastle in 2001. He then gained many years experience in general practice, providing advanced sedation techniques to anxious adults and children, obtaining further postgraduate qualifications with a Diploma in Conscious Sedation and Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He then furthered his clinical skills and knowledge by undertaking several speciality posts including Paediatric Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.Darren undertook his specialist training in orthodontics at Manchester Dental Hospital and was awarded a Masters in Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) and also obtained his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of London. This entitled him to register on the General Dental Council's specialist list to provide services as a specialist orthodontist.
