Mithun graduated as a dual-qualified dental hygienist and therapist from University of Sheffield dental school with distinction. Additionally, he has a masters degree in public health from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Mithun was awarded an academic scholarship to study at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, Baltimore-USA. Prior to joining {my}dentist, Mithun enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in public health and research and has worked in partnership with top organisations such as the WHO, CDC, NHS and the Scottish Government. He has also worked as a hygienist and therapist in placements across a wide variety of clinical environments. He has a friendly and caring approach and is a strong believer in the ethos of prevention is better than cure. His passion is to provide oral health education and work with patients to create a customised and sustainable oral health routine. His field of interests include dental public health, periodontology and pediatrics dentistry. He is always keen to attend new courses to improve and update his clinical knowledge and skills. When not working, he likes to keep himself busy by playing cricket, traveling, hiking, cooking and spending quality time with family and friends.
