Paulo graduated from Lisbon university in 1999 and after some years, developed a passion for implantology. He completed the Dental Implantology course IX and was awarded a diploma by the International Team of Implantology in 2010. Paulo had over 3 years experience of placing dental implants in his home country Portugal and moved to the UK in 2013, where he later continued his passion and education. In 2020 he was awarded a PG Diploma in dental Implantology from Salford University and now has over a decade of experience placing dental implants in a variety of locations in the UK. Paulo is committed to providing his patients the highest standard of treatment and patient journey. He continues to attend courses to upskill and keep up to date with all the latest treatments, technology and guidance. As well as his passion for dental implants, Paulo developed an interest in teeth straightening. Paulo is offering a discreet, fast and comfortable way for patients to straighten their teeth with ClearCorrect clear aligners. Amna originally qualified in 1998 but then went on to qualify in 2009 as a general practitioner in Khartoum Sudan. She had always had a special interest for oral surgery and restorative dentistry. She later developed this and enrolled herself on many additional courses in oral surgery and restorative dentistry including one area of interest being restorative endodontic. She then achieved her Masters in Oral Surgery Pathology in 2008 from the University of Sheffield. Amna started working for mydentist back in 2012 and enjoys building a rapport with her patients ensuring she can provide the best treatment possible. Amna has now extended her knowledge to clear correct. Clear Correct is a clear aligner system used to straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional braces. In her spare time Amna enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Charlotte Mawby GDP

Charlotte qualified from Sheffield University in 2016. After completing a year’s vocational training in Nottingham, she returned to Yorkshire and joined mydentist in 2017. Since qualifying, Charlotte has passed her exams (Part 1) for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons England. Charlotte has also advanced her knowledge of teeth straightening with Invisalign Go. Charlotte is very eager to learn new things and is already looking into new courses to further herself as a general practitioner. She’s a breath of fresh air with new knowledge and new ideas. Charlotte enjoys working within her local community; her most recent project involves delivering oral health education in schools to try and prevent a fear of the dentist developing and to try to reduce tooth decay rates in the area. Charlotte recently became a new mum and so she loves long walks with her family and even the odd skiing trip.

Hanane qualified as a general dental practitioner in 2007 in Tunisia. She has always had an interest in working closely with paediatric dentistry particularly in working with prevention methods. Hanane spent some time at the Leeds Dental Hospital working on the paediatric department where she enjoyed developing her knowledge around preventative techniques and developing her rapport with the patients and their families. In 2009 she joined our team at {my}dentist Bond Street and since then has developed a good relationship with all her patients here with us. Our busy 6 surgery practice has allowed Hanane to use her preventative methods to treat and inform her paediatric patients of ways to maintain dentition. When she isn’t working Hanane enjoys spending time with her family, especially spending time with her children.

Juhannis qualified as a general dental practitioner in 1997 from the Queens University in Belfast following this she went on to the Leeds Dental Hospital where she spent some time working on the restorative department developing her skills and knowledge in restorative dentistry. She has always had an interest in restorative dentistry and later in 2001 she achieved her Masters of Restorative Dentistry from the Leeds Dental Hospital. In 2014 she started working for mydentist where she has enjoyed putting her restorative knowledge and skills to practice treating her many patients at mydentist Bond Street, Juhannis finds that having the chance to listen and understand her patient’s requirements and working with the patient through every step, means that her patients get exactly what they want whilst striving to create a pleasant and happy experience from start to finish. Juhannis has now extended her knowledge to clear correct. Clear Correct is a clear aligner system used to straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional braces. She enjoys spending time with her family and in her spare time she follows and supports her children’s extracurricular activities.

Originally from Wakefield Cat graduated from the University of Leeds in 2013 with a BSC (hons) in Medical Microbiology, then in 2015 still in Leeds Cat went on to do a Dipolma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy.Once graduated Cat went to further her knowledge and education in Italy treating patients with lasers and surgical microscopes to help patients with periodontal disease. With this further experience it has allowed Cat to be more precise and gentler with her patients reducing their anxiety with treatment.Once returned to Wakefield, Cat joined the {my}dentist practice in Wakefield Bond Street in August 2021. Cat says her favourite part about working in the {my}dentist team is helping patients to regain confidence in their smiles. Outside of work Cat enjoys reading and cooking at her family’s holiday home.

Emma joined our mydentist team in 2016 after qualifying from the Leeds Dental Institute with a distinction in her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing. She also received an award for Best Dental Diseases Project in her studies at the Leeds Teaching Hospital. Since working for mydentist, Emma has developed her chair side assisting and is currently enrolled in an implant dental nursing course. She is currently working alongside our implant dentist assisting in surgical procedures and is responsible for the patient journey of all our implant patients. Emma is also interested in prosthetic dentistry, she works with our clinical dental technician to provide our patients with their best prosthodontic solutions. Emma enjoys building a rapport with her patients and providing them with the best patient journey possible. When she isn’t working, Emma enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
