Kayleigh grew up in Yorkshire, and moved to Cumbria when she graduated from University of Central Lancashire in 2020, following a degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Bradford. Since qualifying as a dentist, she has been working in general dentistry and joined the Kirkby Lonsdale practice in September 2021. Kayleigh enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and creating healthy smiles. She is passionate about providing minimally invasive treatments and improving patients overall oral health. Outside of work, Kayleigh spends her weekends enjoying the countryside and going for long walks with her husband and their much loved Labrador, Leo.

Nicola Hesketh GDP

Nicola qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2008 with a first class degree. She returned to her native Cornwall where she completed vocational training in Truro. In 2010 Nicola volunteered for a dental charity expedition to Peru, where she helped deliver dentistry to remote communities in the Andes. This inspired an interest in oral surgery. Later in 2010 she joined the British Army and commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as a professionally qualified officer. She spent 4 years in the Army, during which time she took part in an exchange program with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and led the dental department of a very high readiness field hospital. After leaving the Army in 2012 Nicola moved to Lancashire where she has worked in a variety of private and NHS settings, recently completing an MSc in Oral Surgery at UCLan with Distinction. Nicola is a Tier 2 accredited oral surgery provider in South Lancashire and offers minor oral surgery on a private referrals basis at {my}dentist in Kirkby Lonsdale.Nicola lives in the countryside near Lancaster with her husband, 1 year old twin girls and two pampered (but usually mud-soaked) dogs.

Philippa Nicholls GDP

Philippa (known as Pippa) qualified from Cardiff University in 2017, and joined the {my}dentist Kirkby Lonsdale team in February 2024. She has relocated from the Harrogate area to the beautiful Lake District and we are thrilled that she chose our practice to work with.She offers amazing quality general dentistry, from thorough examinations to restorative restorations, and everything in between. When Pippa isn't in surgery, she is working hard as a founder and CEO of her own company - Dimples. I am sure we can all agree that Pippa is a fantastic addition to our practice.In her spare time, Pippa enjoys spending time with her partner and beloved dog, and renovating her new house into a home.

Sheila Pauline Woodley Hygienist

Sheila, better known as Pauline, qualified as a dental hygienist after studying at The Royal Dental Hospital in London. With over 30 years’ experience she joined our team in 2013.Pauline is a very experienced hygienist and has been very successful in dealing with periodontal disease throughout her career. She keeps herself regularly updated by attending courses, conferences and studying at home to keep abreast of new techniques and methods. Her gentle and caring approach is particularly welcomed by nervous patients. In her spare time Pauline enjoys spending time with her family and friends, has interests in health and fitness, as well as arts and crafts.

Jennifer Naylor Therapist

Jenny started her career in dentistry as a nurse. She stayed in this role for 15 years before deciding her dream was to further her education and become a Dental Therapist. She qualified from UCLan in 2020 with 2:1 Hons and has never looked back! It is apparent how much Jenny enjoys her job, and her endless amazing reviews from patients confirms this. She especially enjoys working with nervous patients and children and is on a mission to make everyone feel comfortable in the dental chair. Jenny is a mum to three gorgeous children and in her spare time can be found walking, baking and generally getting into mischief with the kids
