Kayleigh grew up in Yorkshire, and moved to Cumbria when she graduated from University of Central Lancashire in 2020, following a degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Bradford. Since qualifying as a dentist, she has been working in general dentistry and joined the Kirkby Lonsdale practice in September 2021. Kayleigh enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and creating healthy smiles. She is passionate about providing minimally invasive treatments and improving patients overall oral health. Outside of work, Kayleigh spends her weekends enjoying the countryside and going for long walks with her husband and their much loved Labrador, Leo.

Wendy Thompson GDP

Wendy has worked in general practice since qualifying 10 years ago, both privately and for the NHS. She is also an academic researcher at University of Manchester, where her research focuses on keeping antibiotics working as long as possible into the future, by reducing overprescribing by dentists around the world. She chairs the FDI World Dental Federations Antimicrobial Resistance working group and is elected to its science committee. She is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Wendy regularly provides webinars on dental antimicrobial prescribing and her online courses are popular among professional and non-professionals. Occasionally you may catch her in the media too and work under her leadership has won awards for community communication. Wendy is passionate about including public and patients in research, and she is Trustee of a new patient advocacy charity: The AMR Narrative. In her spare time, Wendy loves relaxing with family on the N Lancashire/S Cumbria coast.

Sheila Woodley Hygienist

Sheila, better known as Pauline, qualified as a dental hygienist after studying at The Royal Dental Hospital in London. With over 30 years’ experience she joined our team in 2013.Pauline is a very experienced hygienist and has been very successful in dealing with periodontal disease throughout her career. She keeps herself regularly updated by attending courses, conferences and studying at home to keep abreast of new techniques and methods. Her gentle and caring approach is particularly welcomed by nervous patients. In her spare time Pauline enjoys spending time with her family and friends, has interests in health and fitness, as well as arts and crafts.

Jennifer Naylor Therapist

Jenny started her career in dentistry as a nurse. She stayed in this role for 15 years before deciding her dream was to further her education and become a Dental Therapist. She qualified from UCLan in 2020 with 2:1 Hons and has never looked back! It is apparent how much Jenny enjoys her job, and her endless amazing reviews from patients confirms this. She especially enjoys working with nervous patients and children and is on a mission to make everyone feel comfortable in the dental chair. Jenny is a mum to three gorgeous children and in her spare time can be found walking, baking and generally getting into mischief with the kids
