Bala qualified in 2001 having spent four years working in a private practice abroad. Bala moved to the UK to further her learning by pursuing a career as a Dental Hygienist & Therapist. Prior to becoming registered in the UK Bala worked as a sedation nurse for many years which gave her valuable skills in managing anxious patients and seeing the patient from a different perspective. Bala has extensive experience of managing oral health and is able to build rapport easily. Bala will always listen to the patient’s expectations, from the care they expect to the way they would like their treatment to progress. Bala keeps her knowledge and skills up to date by regularly attending courses and carrying out clinical self-audits. In Bala’s spare time she likes to spend time with family, she enjoys cooking and travelling.

Katie started her dental career as a Dental Nurse, qualifying in 2012. She then gained additional qualifications in oral health education and fluoride application which is where Katie first became interested in Hygiene after holding oral hygiene clinics at a previous practice. Katie qualified from the University of Essex in 2019 with a qualification in Dental Hygiene and began working at Loddon Dental Practice shortly after in January 2020. Katie has a keen interest in treating periodontal conditions and helping patients improve their oral health. Katie takes pride in ensuring patients have an enjoyable experience in her surgery. In her spare time, Katie enjoys travelling and spending time with her dog Alphie.
