Awaz is an award winning dentist with a special interest in endodontics (root canal treatment). She graduated in 2015 and accepts all referrals for root canals and re-root treatment. She also provides Invisalign Go, Six Month Smiles and Clear Correct orthodontic treatments in addition to composite bonding treatments. She is passionate about saving natural teeth. She is actively involved in research in regenerative endodontics, which is an exciting new advancement in dentistry. She has published journal articles in the British Dental Journal and Dentistry Magazine and has carried out extensive training, including being a member of the royal college of surgeons of Glasgow. She has a deep enthusiasm for teaching and was awarded a distinction in her PG Cert in clinical education. She is a course leader to trainee dentists teaching hands-on study days in endodontics, and is a national speaker in root canal treatment. She is also an active member of Dentaid where she volunteers to provide emergency dental care for the deprived members of the community. She is trilingual and can speak Arabic, English and the Kurdish language.Outside of dentistry, she loves baking, keeping fit, reading and spending time with her family.

Laura graduated from the University of Manchester in 2017 and then joined our team. She is a very popular member of the team. Laura also works as a community Dental Officer and General Dentist at a hospital in Manchester where she predominantly specialises in special care and paediatrics. Laura has an array of knowledge in general dentistry providing both NHS and private treatment, she is an excellent communicator, ensuring her patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment journey. Outside of work Laura likes to keep healthy and enjoys cycling, going for long walks and traveling.

Kerry Pickett is a qualified Dental Therapist and is the Dental Therapist at My Dentist, Padgate and also works at our sister practice in Woolston. Kerry has been a member of our team since 1996, where she started out as a Dental Nurse and went on to progress her profession. Kerry qualified at Manchester University gaining her Bsc in Oral Health Science in 2008, adding to her qualifications in Advanced Health & Social care (3 A Levels achieved at Priestly College). Kerry is married with 2 Sons and regularly attends body Combat classes and enjoys walking and cycling especially with her husband and family.
