Andrew qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1981 and has worked in both NHS & private practices since then. He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in General Dental Practice in 1993. He has a specialist interest in Orthodontics and is able to offer both fixed & removable teeth straightening solutions. He also has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and is able to use a wide selection of treatments to improve your smile. As a brand holder for Denture Excellence, Andrew can offer a wide range of cosmetic dentures. Andrew has a very calm and caring approach and will listen to any worries you may have about your treatment. Andrew lives in Skipton with his family and is a keen motor biker and loves to spend time outdoors with his wife Zoe and his beloved Labrador dogs.

Adam Al-Bendawi GDP Qualified from: DDM Lithuanian University of Health Sciences 2018 GDC No: 279370

Dr Adam Al-Bendawi qualified in 2018 from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences LSMU and completed internship at LSMU odontology faculty hospital. After completion of his internship, he moved back home to Sweden to work as a general dental practitioner for Vastra Gotaland public dental service as well as a private dentist at a dental practice in Gothenburg. He then moved to the UK, to further his experience. He is now working as an associate dentist at {my)dentist, Rosse Street. He is passionate about providing high quality dental care as well as ensuring that all patients receive the utmost service. His main areas of interest are primary care, oral surgery and restorative dentistry. He has attended minor oral surgery courses, which have facilitated performing surgical procedures efficiently. Pursuing a gateway to progress to specialist training, he is soon planning to undertake a MSc in Restorative Dentistry to acquire the advanced techniques and clinical expertise to offer enhanced, contemporary treatments. In his spare time, he enjoys socialising with friends, watching favourite tv shows, or simply reading novels.

Amira Kojok GDP Qualified from: DMD Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy 2021 GDC No: 297838

Dr. Amira graduated from dental school in Romania in 2021 and has been practicing in the UK since 2022, and joined our Shipley practice. Amira has a special interest in orthodontics (teeth straightening) and is currently working towards a master’s degree in orthodontics at Ulster University.She offers a variety of treatments, including orthodontic care with fixed braces and Invisalign, as well as NHS and private dentistry. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and strive to make every visit as comfortable and positive as possible.Outside of work, Amira enjoys reading, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Ammar Hussain qualified from University of Dundee in 2019. He is one of the associates here at {my}dentist Shipley. Ammar studied in Dundee and has now returned to his home town with his family. He is passionate about dentistry and his favourite part of his work is connecting with his patients to ensure they feel comfortable and confident when choosing their path to oral health. Equally, he enjoys investing time in patients to ensure those who may be nervous, have a happy patient journey and feel confident and comfortable with the work he does. He will be soon offering clear aligner teeth straightening treatment and is always developing his skills within the sector.In his free time he enjoys reading, playing football, spending time with family & friends and volunteering at youth clubs

Charles Sheard GDP Qualified from: BDS University of Manchester 2020 GDC No: 290957

Dr Charlie Sheard graduated from the University of Manchester in 2020. Since then he has worked across Yorkshire providing NHS and private dentistry. He has completed a course in advanced restorative dentistry, which is where his main clinical interests lie. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while and are wanting a fresh start, Charlie is the dentist for you. He provides treatments ranging from professional whitening, composite bonding and tooth straightening to full mouth rehabilitation. Charlie is passionate about excellent patient care. He is a trained sedationist and receives referrals for treatment of anxious/ phobic patients using IV sedation.Out of work, Charlie enjoys going to the gym, spending time with family and friends and eating out.

David Ford GDP Qualified from: BDS University of Leeds 2000 GDC No: 77645

David Ford qualified from the University of Leeds in 2000 and worked in general practice until he moved to Australia. He then worked in different tiers of the dental system, including an aboriginal clinic in Western Australia. Since returning to the UK in 2005, David has worked as an associate dentist completing an Advanced Restorative Course. David’s main area of interest lies in the provision of dental implants to restore patients missing teeth which he has been doing since 2009. He was awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons; a course which has been recognised as the gold standard in implant training by the General Dental Council. He offers a wide range of dental treatment, helping patients with complex functional and aesthetic problems, with and without the use of implants. Away from work David spends time with his wife and daughter, finding time to read a good book now and then

Dr. Iulia Aflorei qualified in 2002 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in Jassy Romania. She worked in a general dental practice and has 4 years of experience as Clinical Teaching Fellow at University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Jassy, Prosthetic Department. She moved to the UK and joined {my}dentist in June 2012. Since then she has worked at Russell Court Dental Practice, Cottingley, providing both NHS and private treatment, she has recently joined our Shipley practice on Rosse St when the two practices merged. During her time in the UK, Iulia has attended numerous training courses and dental conferences and has completed an Advanced Restorative Course at Tipton Training Manchester. She has a special interest in minimal invasive aesthetic dentistry, short term Orthodontics, she is a qualified Invisalign and 6 Month Smile provider and has completed training in Composite Bonding and mini smile makeover. Outside of work Iulia enjoys travelling, reading a good book and spending time with her family whenever possible.

Lisa is an experienced general dentist with extensive expertise in crown, bridge, and denture work for comprehensive full mouth treatment. Since 2014, she has successfully completed numerous clear aligner treatments, using both Invisalign and ClearCorrect systems.Lisa is also skilled in composite bonding cases and is well-versed in the SmileFast system. With many years of experience in teeth whitening, she offers a range of advanced systems, including Philips Zoom!, Enlighten and Boutique.Outside of her professional career, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is an avid runner and can often be found training for marathons, even though she insists each one will be her last!

Alison Wilson Hygienist Qualified from: Diploma in Dental Hygiene 1997 GDC No: 5313

Allison Wilson qualified as a dental hygienist at Leeds Dental University in 1997. Since then, Allison has worked for both the NHS and private practices. She is also keen in providing oral health education in schools. Dental hygienists are specifically trained members of the dental team to provide a vital role in oral health care and prevention of dental diseases, educating patients on an individual basis with oral hygiene advice to achieve optimal oral health. Allison is involved in the care of routine patients as well as those with more complex needs, such as advanced gum disease, implant maintenance and cosmetic stain removal using Airflow. Allison prides herself in putting patients at ease through good communication and a friendly, approachable manner, as this is a vital aspect of her job role. Throughout her career she has experience working with a wide range of patients, including those with anxiety and phobias. Outside of surgery she enjoys travelling, going out for walks, spin classes and spending time with family and friends.

She started her career as a dental nurse in 2010, before studying Dental Hygiene/Therapy in Manchester from 2017-2020During her time here, Katie has built a good rapport with her patients, earning the trust and acclimatising her nervous patients to treatment. She welcomes existing and new patients She is very passionate about her role and enjoys both the hygiene and therapy aspect, which includes everything from saving teeth through regular deep cleans, giving patients a sparkling clean to remove staining, whitening them and restoring broken and decayed teeth.In her spare time, she likes socialising with friends and family, and she also enjoys swimming and attending gym classes.
